Baptist Care Australia is delighted to announce Russell Bricknell as new Chairperson. Russell was officially appointed by the Board at the August Board Meeting, held virtually on 21 August 2020, finalising the decision made at the 2018 Annual General Meeting.

Russell joined Baptistcare WA as Chief Executive Officer in April 2017 with an extensive background in the aged care and community services sector having previously been the Chief Executive of Aged Care Channel, Chief Operating Officer of Australian Home Care, General Manager of BaptistCare NSW and ACT, and Executive Director of Churches of Christ Care in Queensland.

Additionally, Russell holds degrees in education, science and a Masters in Business Administration, is a Graduate and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Russell's passion is in delivering services that positively impact lives. He is proud to take on the role of Chairperson in leading Baptist Care Australia as a voice for hope.

We would like to again extend our deepest thank you to outgoing Chairperson, Graham Dangerfield, for his strong yet considered leadership to grow Baptist Care Australia in strength, purpose and direction to create an organisation of impact since his appointment in November 2015. We are honoured by his commitment to ensuring that every decision made by Baptist Care Australia was the one that God wanted us to make and a step that God was guiding to help us add our distinctive lens to the national voice.

It is this position as an important voice in national advocacy that will allow Baptist Care Australia to continue to grow under Russell's leadership.
