Baptist Care Australia will soon farewell the organisation's Executive Director, Marcia Balzer, following her recent resignation.
"Marcia joined us in February 2017, and the two and a half years that followed were a time of significant growth and development for Baptist Care Australia," said Board Chair, Graham Dangerfield.
"We congratulate Marcia on her many achievements in leading the Baptist Care Australia national network. Our network is working more closely together thanks to her efforts. We have articulated our organisational identity more clearly and established collaborations across member organisations for important and strategic initiatives. The past few years have also seen Baptist Care Australia speaking out more strongly on key social policy issues such as domestic violence, housing and homelessness, and aged care," Mr Dangerfield said.
Recruitment for a new Executive Director will commence shortly, but in the meantime an interim manager will lead the organisation in the Canberra office.
Marcia's final day will be Friday 6 September. The Board of Baptist Care Australia wish Marcia well in her future endeavours and thank her for her service over the last two and a half years.
