It's time to care about aged care - how you can help

The Australian Aged Care Collaboration is a group of six aged care peak bodies: Aged & Community Services Australia (ACSA), Anglicare Australia, Baptist Care Australia, Catholic Health Australia, Leading Age Services Australia (LASA) and UnitingCare Australia.

Together, we represent more than 1,000 organisations that are responsible for about 70 percent of the services delivered to the 1.3 million Australians receiving aged care, either at home or in communal residential settings.

We understand the needs of an ageing Australian population because collectively, our members support older people in cities as well as regional and remote localities, across all states and territories. In addition, we are major employers and users of local goods and services.

What you can do to help:

Step 1:

Join over 16,000 Australiansand sign the petition at CareAboutAgedCare.org.au On the website you can also read our report and find all the resources youneed to help us make the campaign successful.

Step 2:

Follow the instructions in your petition "Thank You" email to encourage your friends to sign the petition and add the logo to your Facebook profile picture. Please consider sharing the petition with your social groups, e.g. church groups, coffee or footy clubs, etc.

Step 3:

Follow, like and share posts from the Australian Aged Care Collaboration on Twitter and Facebook.

Step 4:

Speak to your local Member of Parliament or Senator. Not sure where to start - follow these simple guides:

• Once the meeting has concluded
