Second home care packages report released

Today the Department of Health released data for home care packages for the period 1 July to 30 September 2017.

The report shows a 4.2% increase in the number of providers compared to the previous period 21 February to 30 June.

Demand for packages continues to be strong with daily approvals increasing by 23.9% over the previous reporting period.

At 30 September there were still 101,508 consumers in the queue to be allocated packages, with 30.2% of these assigned an interim package.
